Dr. J Roberto Ramirez Gavidia is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes in aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Middle Tennessee.
Dr. Ramirez Gavidia completed his General Surgery residency training at The Cleveland Clinic. He then relocated to Nashville and completed three years of specialized training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Throughout his residencies at the Cleveland Clinic and Vanderbilt, Dr. Ramirez Gavidia published multiple articles and abstracts in journals.
He was invited to present his work at several national and international meetings for The American Association of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and American Society of Aesthetics Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Some of the topics included: safety in liposuction, aesthetic surgery, cranial facial reconstruction, and extremity reconstruction after severe trauma. He was the recipient of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons scholarship.
During his time in Cleveland, Dr. Ramirez Gavidia was a full-time surgeon and was teaching many general surgery residents, he was appointed clinical instructor of anatomy with Case Western University and Lerner School of Medicine. Dr. Ramirez Gavidia served as Chief Resident in his final year at Vanderbilt University which is one of the top Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Training Programs. Here he trained with world-renowned surgeons. He is Board Certified by the American Board of General Surgery. He is also president of SAMS (Salvadorean American medical doctors).
Dr. Ramirez Gavidia resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his fiancee, Christina. He enjoys the arts of painting and playing the guitar as well as hiking, boating, horseback riding and spending time with his sons, Jose and Gabriel.
