What to Expect During Treatment 

To keep you comfortable during the injections, we use a facial vibrating tool. A fine needle is also used. Dr. Ramirez Gavidia will ask you to make different specific facial movements to determine where your “muscle action” is. Based on where your strength is, he will inject those areas to decrease the action. He will mark the areas and then administer the injections. While Dr. Ramirez Gavidia performs many other procedures by eye, he still marks neuromodulator patients, as he believes that precisely identifying where the muscles are is the key to achieving a good result. Treatments only take about 15 minutes, and you’ll be able to return to your normal activities afterward.

Typically, the biggest difference between Botox for men and women is how much is injected. Men usually need more than women because their facial muscles tend to be stronger and have more mass.

Aftercare 

  • Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated area
  • Wait to lie down for 4-6 hours after treatment
  • No exercise or sweating for 24 hours
  • Take over-the-counter pain medication if needed
  • Expect swelling and bruising for 10 days

Results

It will take 7-10 days for the full results of Botox or Jeuveau to become visible. Be sure to follow up with us at 14 days if you need any adjustments, but no later than 21 days. Dysport results will show up a little sooner.
