Why do we need Halo?
Your skin’s ability to exfoliate becomes weaker as you age, which can cause spots, creases and wrinkles to appear on the skin. In more serious cases, the diminished ability of skin to restore itself can cause long lasting facial scarring that cannot be addressed through superficial options like creams and ointments.
What is the Halo ™?
The Halo™ is an adjustable, fractional laser capable of performing ablative and nonablative treatments. At a non-ablative wavelength, the Halo™ is best at addressing issues like enlarged pores and off-color pigmentation, while at an ablative wavelength, it is best used for healing facial scars and small wounds.
Following the procedure, the treated skin may be sensitive and tender, but you should be able to carry on with your day afterwards. In order for the treatment to work properly, it is advised that you avoid exposure to the sun during the day after.
What Makes the Halo ™ Unique?
As mentioned before, the Halo™ is capable of non-ablative and ablative procedures alike, allowing it to treat a larger variety of conditions than a cosmetic laser designed specifically for one or the other. These conditions include but are not limited to:
- Large Pores
- Age Spots and Sun Spots
- Fine Lines
- Acne Scars
- Pigmentation Issues
- Loss of Soft Tissue
The handpiece used to perform the Halo™ laser treatment also comes with a host of features that can enhance the procedure’s comfort. One of these features is an integrated cooling system that’s designed to help a patient deal with the amount of heat needed to perform ablative procedures.
Is the Halo ™ a Safe Option?
A scheduled consultation with one of our practitioners will give you with the answer to this question. This consultation will involve the discussion of your medical history and your goals for the treatment in order to discover potential complications.
