What is Liposuction?
Liposuction sometimes referred to as “lipo”, is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures available today, according to ASPS over 250,000 cases were performed in the USA alone in 2018. This procedure’s popularity may point to a telling truth about how difficult sculpting your ideal body through diet and exercise alone can be. Some people can stick faithfully to a diet and exercise plan for years without being able to achieve their aesthetic goals. Liposuction is an excellent way to remove excess fat deposits while decreasing the chance of future weight gain and improving the body’s overall proportions.
Anesthesia is administered before the procedure begins. Depending on the size of the area being treated, this can be either local or general anesthesia. During the procedure, the tumescent solution (anesthetic and adrenaline) is infiltrated under the skin, then the fat is “melted” using VASER Hi-Def®. The fat is then removed gently using Micro-Air® which allows the body to be sculpted. Following the procedure, the healing process is relatively quick. In fact, most patients can return to their normal daily activities within a few days of having surgery.
